A Psychic Thought for 2009
January 8th, 2009
The best is yet to come…
Whilst most people are worrying about 2009 and how we’re all going to disappear into one giant pot of gloom, I will introduce what is really happening.
The year of opportunity
for people to work together. In recent years the focus has been on the individual and how one can out do another. We have seen this clearly with past year proving no one or any organisation is invincible.
See off the unscrupulous
whose actions have brought about a shift and change in the world. The economic crisis of 2008 has forced people into appreciating what they have got. People now try harder and more willing to help, and you can buy things at the correct rather than inflated price.
A chance to re-focus
for the western world has been obsessed with the accumulation of ‘things’. We have now been given an opportunity to re-focus and see what feelings we are actually trying to create in our world.
Move beyond the fear
of disappearing into that hole of never ending gloom and 2009 will prove to adjust expectations and appreciations. Over the coming year the collective whole will move first through the emotions of fear, into a ‘what the hell’ there is no point in worrying about what might happen, into a state of appreciating the merits of simply spending time with friends and family rather than always having to think of things to do or ways to out do each other.
Be proud
of what we are. How we will pass on belongings that are too small, big or not quite right rather than dump them into our disposable society.
A partnership, working together
can make for an easier life. I remember both my grandmother’s talking about the merits of the post war years. They would speak fondly of the times when each helped out neighbours, friends and local folk. I firmly believe the outcome of 2008 was simply about re-dressing a balance. The sharpness of it reflects quite how out of balance it was.
A Master Number
by adding the individual numbers 2009 together it comes to 11. In numerology 11 is a master number, an important number. It is a rare, exceptional energy that operates outside the mundane. It is an energy that is hard on material interests and gain which suggests 2009 will continue to be static year. However, when 11 works in the positive it is energy of illuminating magnetism full of vision and unparalleled spiritual awareness. It is a very hopeful and inspiring energy that vibrates life. If allowed to wallow this energy finds itself in the doom and gloom which are manifestations of its own powerful consciousness.
2009 will prove to be an exciting year,
take it as it should be an opportunity to reflect on life changes and opportunities. Life will move at a slower pace this year, it will do for us all to learn how to re-focus and enjoy the journey.
At the beginning of the year many of us will look upon the last year with disappointment, hoping that the New Year will bring us a new beginning. Perhaps more money or less weight, give us the will-power to give up fast food or on a slow relationship. But it is likely your resolutions will quickly disappear. New Year resolutions seldom make the third month and we are left wondering why. So how do you make 2009 the year those aspirations hit their target?

Just wanted to tell you I think this is a great article to send out via your blog. It’s well written and gives the receptive reader a simple yet concrete understanding of what’s behind the reactive thought.
Is it okay if I share this article by posting a redirection to your website?
Thank you,
Susan

Happy new year to you too! I know this isn’t related to your entry, but this have been really bugging me a lot. I can’t talk to many people about it either because of being shy and afraid of what they’ll say. I’m a Christian, and I was told that all this psychic stuff is wrong and that it said so in the bible. I don’t know how to explain my question very well, but I have a STRONG interest in this field, and I feel like cutting it off is somehow cutting a part of me off. I’ve had some experiences as well, but being taught that it’s wrong I ended up blocking a lot of it, and I’m also afraid of it too, but feel like I should pay more attention to what’s going on around me. I am currently 21 years old, and trying to figure out what to do in my life, so to help find my path I’m studying further into these spiritual matters, but came across this conflict and I’m stuck. I guess my question is that I’m looking for some sort of advice.
My Mom also had psychic friends, and it’s very very possible that my Mom is one herself (she’s had visions of her brother visiting her telling her about my baby brother being born). I haven’t talked to any of them much because of being shy, and we moved so I lost my chance. Felt like that I shouldn’t skip it this time. Either way, I’m going to stop here before I babble on and take over your blog entry. Haha. Thanks so much in advance!
Hi Beverly
It is natural for a Christian to have second thoughts about dabbling in the psychic sciences and your example is a perfect one to explain. Psychic experiences happen for people regardless of their faith and are related to a person’s general abilities and sensitivities to the unseen world of energy. The word ‘psychic’ is an emotive word which is used often to create images of what we imagine to be unsavory. The truth is psychic skills and ability are a natural resource we use in its lesser version everyday – our intuition and gut feelings.
As you have found, you haven’t chosen a psychic path it has sort of found you through your curiosity and natural draw towards it. My greatest surprise some years ago was working in Ireland, the Christian beliefs are entrenched in Irish heritage yet a Catholic priest came to visit me when I was there. He needed answers to his questions, he’d found that he had a natural healing ability and clairvoyant skill. I assumed he would be afraid of it but his thoughts proved differently. He was proud of his gift and how he could help people. His only upset was he had to tone it down for his congregation. He called God what I call the ‘higher intelligence’ he believes God to be a separate entity, human. I don’t see it as something separate I regard the higher intelligence as part of everything, even ourselves. With this in mind, try and see it as the ’same meat, different gravy’. I know in terms of Christian belief this thought is not necessarily something that’s acceptable, it’s controversial. Try and add the spiritual perspective that no view is judged only understood, therefore if you can add this to your current beliefs you will find it easier to accept your curiosity and not see it as something bad.
I hope that helps you to feel more settled with it all,
With love

Hey thanks so much for your response! It’s much appreciated. I do feel more at ease now about the conflict. I also never thought a priest would have such abilities. It’s very surprising to me.
Anyhow, looks like I’ve got a lot to learn! Thanks again for the peace of mind. :]
I am bonbeverage, by the way. I just wasn’t logged in wordpress at the time I written my previous comment.
Hi,
Excellent article. ‘How to get ahead in 2009′ It was like a bit of a light bulb going on when i saw the pictures of the brain enlarged as a maze.
About two weeks later it suddenly occured to me to clean up my mazes!
Thanks – very informative.
Debbie
Hello Heidi, i just want to say how much i enjoy your news letters, i learn so much every time i recieve one. I have a question for you that no one seems to be able to explain. A friend of mine sits in a psychic circle and has always had mediumistic abilities, he has bubble like orbs coming out of the third eye area up to fifty times a day. This has always happened to him and he would love an explanation, please can you shed some light on it for us. Thank you in anticipation Heidi.
Kind regards
Wendy
