Intuition: The Path of the Sensitive Soul
October 14th, 2011Your purpose in life as a ‘sensitive’ is to experience the deeper parts of the mind, to move beyond fear and to manage your energy no matter the circumstance.
The path of the sensitive starts in several different ways. Each way depends on the type of person
you are and how you cope with different experiences in life.
The Healer’s Path
This starts with a curiosity towards the healing arts and a strong natural empathy towards other
people. The healer sensitive often feels in life as though it’s hard to fit in, people don’t really ‘get
you.’ You have a much faster understanding of others than they do of you. This leaves you with a
lonely experience inside, a strange isolation that’s difficult to explain. You crave deep conversations and connections yet they seem to elude you to the point of disappointment.
You experience pain at the thought of the brutality of life, you wonder why people manipulate and
behave the way they do. Eventually you see your way forward by connecting with the pleasant
experiences of indulging your need to assist others. Often there is a draw towards the idea of
angels. The fact is angels and animals don’t disappoint. Their love is unconditional as you begin to
learn about yourself.
The learning starts with a huge pile of books next to your bed, a thirst for knowledge that’s a private experience for most healer sensitives. You’ll attend workshops and talks, often hiding at the back until you feel comfortable with what you’re learning. Friends and family may not approve of what you’re ‘into’ so it becomes your own world for a while.
As a sensitive on the healer’s path this is where you’re going:
- To master the mind chatter so fear becomes less of an issue
- To master your own emotions so you are no longer so deeply affected by others
- To master your awakening consciousness so you can assist others free from the fear of consequence
You may wonder how you get there. Perhaps for years you’ve been followed by extreme sensitivity and raw experiences. Your trusting nature has been abused or you’ve had enough and exploded inappropriately. This isn’t unusual for the healer sensitive.
The way forward involves a commitment to your evolving consciousness rather than fighting
it. Explore your fears and master the mind chatter with meditation. Try new experiences,
question ‘why’ you are picking up on the emotional experiences of other people. What do they
mean? Stick there and see things through when you feel like running. Make a mental commitment
to masteri your habits, the way you treat yourself, and have the faith in yourself to begin to ‘let go’.
Healer sensitives hold onto old things they no longer need, they fear change. The change though
is inevitable. This is the soul energy creeping through, pushing against the will of the personality,
everyday self. Without doubt you will begin to push against your fears by experiencing them. Best
to embrace and tackle life full on; you’ll then see how much of your soul shines through…

Dear Heidi,
I needed this…again. Thank you. I’m repeatedly amazed at how your descriptions fit me and stop me in my tracks.
Blessings to you. Thank you, thank you. Amy
Dear Heidi.
I have to agree with Amy, I feel I am finally understood! It’s a pity I live in Australia. Lol.
I tend to spend a lot of time alone as I definately feel most people do not get me. Unfortunately this includes my family also. I have always known my intuition is spot on but since my father passed away 6yrs ago,I now see the same time on the clock and I know I am going through a transition as I feel so restless. Unfortunately I do not know how to go about opening myself up to my higher self so I tend to become down or angry. I am so ready to develop my abilities for my own inner peace as well as to help others.
I have worked in Mental Health and I am a Crisis Suicide Counsellor as I have always just got people. I have been used and abused and I now am so drained I am verging on Chronic Fatigue. All I want now is to protect my energies and learn so I can keep on helping others. I hope to learn so much more from you and if I ever have the money I am coming over. Thank you so much Kristi
